Mennonite Men Tithe Grant approved

The board of Mennonite Men approved a grant of US$10,000 for the Mission Anabaptist Church, a new Anabaptist/Mennonite congregation in Myanmar that has quickly out-grown its current worship space. Supported by both Mennonite Church Eastern Canada and Mennonite Church Canada Witness, the rapidly growing congregation is a developing connection point for Anabaptist/Mennonite mission agencies responding to invitations to minister in the Chin State.

Although many brave young people have spoken up in the aftermath of last month’s school shooting in Parkland, Fla., to advocate for tighter gun regulations in the U.S., it’s words spoken by a man in his 40s that I keep coming back to.
