We hear it all the time. Older people are a problem for their families, communities, churches, and the society at large. Without ignoring the challenges of aging, it’s time for a new narrative. We need to move from problem to potential as we think about people in the “third third” of life and their opportunity to flourish. Churches will play an essential role in this effort and will reap rich benefits from the empowerment of their older adults.
