Come the new year I will be continueing a column called 'Peacebuilder Profiles', where we will hear the stories of Mennonite peacebuilders in our communities.
A number of weeks ago we heard from Dan Loewen, in 'The Peacebuilding Busker', and in January we will hear from Kathy Thiessen, a member of Christian Peacemaker Teams in Iraq.
What about the lineup for the rest of the year, you ask? That’s where YOU come in. I looking for nominations for these profiles. If you know of anyone one in your community who works for peace, builds up community, and speaks up for the oppressed, nominate them!
Do you know of any inspiring mennonite peacebuilders? Nominate them for the Canadian Mennonite Magazine's 'Peacebuilder Profile', by contacting Brandi Thorpe @ brandi.j.thorpe@gmail.com.
Looking forward to see who inspires YOUR community!
