Event Start Date: 15 February 2025
Event End Date:

Location: International

Two Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary professors are co-organizing a conference on Christian nationalism, Signs of the Times: Interdisciplinary Responses to Religious Nationalism, March 20-22 at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, USA.

Janna L. Hunter-Bowman, (Associate Professor of Peace Studies and Christian Social Ethics), and Drew Strait, (Associate Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins), with colleagues at Notre Dame, have arranged more than 50 keynote lectures, presentations, and panels.

“The 500-year anniversary of Anabaptism in these fraught political times urges us to reflect on our Christian tradition of separating church from state,” said Hunter-Bowman. “The conference promises to be a profound time of global reflection on the rise and challenges that Christian nationalism presents to Catholics and Mennonites,” Strait said. Conference registration and schedule of keynotes and workshops can be found here. Registration deadline is Feb. 15. For more information and to register, click here.
