Computers needed for students in Honduras

For 200 waiting students

Santz Cruz, Honduras

Computers are badly needed to expand a computer assisted learning program (CAL) initiated and supervised by Bryan Butler, director of Canadian Peacemakers International in Santz Cruz, Honduras.

“We have had 50 students complete at least one grade (Grades 7-9) and have 250 students enrolled with 200 more waiting,” Butler tells the Honduran Ministry of Education.

”Our program allows students to study in any location, at their own pace and with access to a complete course of studies with additional materials in the areas of literature, mathematics and English. We are very excited about the potential of this program for Honduras. Your Ministry is giving us ongoing assitance and support.

One of our major bottlenecks right now is used computers. Would you know of any place we could access some? We generally have 4-6 students utilizing one computer so the effeciency rate is quite high.”

If you want to donate a computer (or computers) get in touch with Butler at bryaninuganda@yahoo.co.uk
